Redesigning Oula's product supporting maternity care, and more

A roundup of new work and stories

As a followup to our 2024 year-in-review, we're excited to finally share some of the great work our team has done in the past year.

Reflecting on the brands and products we've shipped for clients, we've most enjoyed helping mission-driven companies innovate and tackle very relatable, human challenges: navigating divorce for the first time, providing food-insecure areas access to fresh produce, and delivering maternity care that is both more holistic and tailored to the individual.

We've also had the opportunity to help startups with less easily understood products and services find their brand, messaging, and visual identity, arming them with a brand kit, website, and the tools to confidently speak to their target audience.

Oula Health

Oula is a maternity care startup redesigning the patient experience and delivering comprehensive support before, during, and after pregnancy. They had a v1 product that needed some love, especially in preparation for the big opening of their third clinic in NYC’s Upper West Side.

Their team noticed issues converting and retaining new patients, from signup to booking to showing up for the first appointment. They also had new branding, but needed help translating it to a new, cohesive visual language for the product. Lastly, the new clinic would offer a new appointment type with implications for the product experience, but more importantly, it was an opportunity for Oula to put their best foot forward with a new segment of patients.

Our team worked closely with Oula to create a polished and cohesive design system, a frictionless signup and booking experience, and a dashboard built to drive appointment attendance rate. The dashboard was also designed as a dynamic, modular “bento box” to better anticipate patient needs along their maternity journey. We’re thrilled to have had the opportunity to partner with Oula in crafting a product that is a worthy companion to their fresh, more holistic take on maternity care.

Working with Rally has been an absolute pleasure. They always find creative solutions for tricky design challenges and deliver polished, beautiful results.

Crucible Labs

David and Ala, Crucible Lab’s co-founders, came to us with a name, and needed branding and a website that reflects their mission, resonates with their community, and effectively speaks to both a technical and non-technical audience.

David previously served as Google’s CMO and founded CapitalG, Alphabet’s growth fund. Ala co-founded Bittensor, a decentralized network, ecosystem of projects, and marketplace incentivizing collaboration and innovation in AI development. With this initiative, they hoped to both highlight the best of Bittensor and provide professional research insight to their community of developers, researchers, and investors. For their Bittensor-savvy audience, they also needed a page to highlight the potential opportunity and rewards that could be gained through staking TAO, Bittensor’s token.

Our team crafted a tech-forward logo, and graphical elements for the overall brand, that take cues from how blockchain and decentralized networks are commonly illustrated. These elements are incorporated throughout the site, in team photos and research content, creating a cohesive look and feel. We designed pages and modules they could use today to feature research and staking opportunities, and in the future to highlight Bittensor’s most promising projects. We also developed the website in Wordpress to ensure Crucible Labs is properly setup with a CMS that is easy to use and scales with their plans for the future.

Rally truly understood our mission and crafted a fresh brand and digital presence that resonates with our community. Their creativity, strategic expertise, and efficiency make them an ideal design partner, ensuring a seamless and productive collaboration. I wholeheartedly recommend their team.
